Common Craft makes uncommonly cool and simple videos
Forgive the cheesy pun in the title, but they really do make cool, simple videos that explain some aspects of the whole Web 2.0 craze that might be hard to explain to non-techy friends and family.
While most people might already get social networking, due to the popularity of MySpace and Facebook, most of my friends have no idea what social bookmarking is or why it is of any real value. And the same goes for RSS, Wikis, and things like Google Docs. And Common Craft makes short (I think all of them are under 4 minutes) and easy-to-understand videos that explain all of those things in plain English in a way that even Mom and Grandpa Joe can understand.
