Fellow tumblrerer squashed made the above observation regarding this post. There are two things I wish to point out. First, Nick Douglas is the author of the quote, not me, so all praise for it’s brevity and simplicity should go to him.
Second, while I agree that my comments were less concise than the one that formed the title of the post, I disagree that they were irrelevant since those were the reasons I deleted my MySpace.
And since the point—at least, the point of the second post that I linked in the original post—was a discussion of why Nick has deleted his, a brief discussion of why I deleted mine seemed in order. And I prefer the specific to the general, the concrete to the abstract.
Sidenote: I am not sure if the tumblrer in question was being ironic (i.e., MySpace is so crappy there should be no need to explain why you left) or was trying to dis me, so I have no idea if I can mark the box labeled “Another blogger insults you by name” on my blogger bingo card.
